Our pups are raised in our family home, "It Makes a Difference." Under constant eye and supervision, their environment is ours. Whelping boxes and puppy pens are within our home (in our living space). Their areas are cleaned numerous times throughout the day, and we use neutracide as our cleaner, which we hold great value in. Pups are sold sound and healthy, or they are not sold. We do not give promise of a guaranteed show dog. We can tell you which ones are showing the "stuff" we feel could take them into the ring and should do well for you; the rest will be up to the puppy, you, and the work you do when you take a puppy home. We will let you know if your pup should or should not reproduce, if you ask us to give our opinion of the pup. Pups are AKC registered. All pups are priced with FULL REGISTRATION unless otherwise stated. Pricing varies based on show possibilities, and breeder worthiness. What this can also mean to you... if you are looking for a pet with show quality characteristics but only want a pet, we gladly let our pups go into a loving, knowledgeable, safe "pet home", but the price does not change. You will need to research and know what kind of a pup you are looking for, when you are ready to buy your puppy. We DO NOT mass reproduce here at Mahkota. Our litters are few and far between, and well planned prior to breeding. Much thought is always given to the breed, and to what we will be producing. This assures us a quality bred puppy, with plenty of devotion, time and love for as long as they remain here with us. We are never in a hurry to place a puppy. A puppy that is unhealthy is not only a heart breaking experience, but a financial nightmare. We highly recommend you contact a parent club, for information on the breed and what you should look for before buying, if you are buying the breed for the first time. A good place to start at is The Doberman Pinscher Club of America. Here you will find a world of information you may not already know. Our doberman pups typically stay a minimum of 10-12 weeks here with us; this assures the ears are done, and beginning to heal. Natural ears or a desire to have your own vet do the ear crop is certainly welcome; however, the puppy must be paid in full before the scheduled surgical date. Otherwise the puppy's ears will be done here with us (sorry no exceptions). All tail docks and dew claws are completed on schedule. All vaccinations and wormings have been completed as scheduled, according to the puppy's age. We will provide you with the pup's vaccination schedule. Our doberman bloodlines to date, and to the best of our knowledge, have been free from Cardiomyopathy, cervical vertebral instability (CVI), Von Willebrand's disease (VWD), thyroid disorders, and eye disorders. We have heard of no reports of cancer. Longevity has been reported to be 12-15 years. All puppies have had a full health system review by our veterinarians of over 25 years. Our puppies are sold with a copy of the health system review, and certificate. They come with AKC registration forms, copy of the pedigrees, copy of worming and vaccination record, bill of sale, contract, photos of dam and sire, along with a couple of puppy photos. Also, through AKC you will receive a free, no obligation pet healthcare insurance plan with a 60-day trial period. This plan can be continued if you choose, at your request/responsibility. This insurance will cover things like injury, illnesses, prescribed medications, diagnostic procedures, and laboratory tests. A copy of the offer and more detailed information will accompany your AKC registration form. You will be provided with instructions on how to post the puppy's ears, exercise recommendations, and food and vitamin recommendations. For information on my daughter's Chihuahuas, age of departure, and health background please visit the Chihuahua pages. You will find out more about the breed there, and more about her Chihuahuas. We hope this information has been helpful, and we welcome any additional questions or concerns you may wish to discuss. |
