Born June 30, 2005, she is a very rare/exotic champagne grulla, and such a cutie! She's dual registered with APHA and International Champagne Horse Registry (ICHR). Lani has tested "EE" - homozygous for the black gene (cannot produce red-based babies) and carries both champagne and dun dilution genes, on a black ("aa") base coat. She's also negative for Lethal White Overo (LWO). She's got a lovely little head, a great build, and quite a personality.
Lani's pedigree includes My Skip Ashwood (2x AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter, ROM Performance, and sire of My Skip Vanzi - PHBA World Champion, AQHA Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter) as well as Bull Parker (AQHA High Point Performance Horse, AQHA Champion, ROM Performance, and sire of World and Reserve World Champion Offspring) and Benito Bar Jack (AQHA Champion, ROM Performance, and sire of Superior Halter, AQHA Champion, ROM Halter and Performance, and NCHA Money-Earning Offspring).
Lani really turns some heads with her good looks, unique color, and vivid dun markings - she has "wowed" everyone she has met! She is really a character, and whinnies for me every time I call her name or go outside to the barn.
