The Sire of this litter, Tyjean, although bred for conformation, possesses a gentle peacefulness that is remarkable. The Dam, Echo, is a joint adventure with my son and I. She is a complete and total member of our family, and could not be a more loving creature. With the bone, muscle and overall size of these pups, some may exceed standard, although we do not breed for oversized puppies.
This litter between Echo and Ty brought us a combination of 52 Champions, 31 of which are from imported bloodlines. And of those 52 Champions, 13 are International Champions from imported lines. This would indicate that the breeders before us were doing something right, and doing it well. Not only are the imported lines full of Conformation Champions, but also of Obedience Performers, Event Trial Winners, and Working Dogs. Echo's percentage of Champions out of 62 known ancestors is 50%, and Ty's percentage of Champions out of 30 known ancestors is 70%. This gives our puppies a 60% heritage of Champion Bloodlines from imported, International, and American bloodlines, tilting the scale in the puppies' favor for success. How often does that happen in life? These percentages speak volumes about our litter, and about each one of our puppies' potential. And what an oppurtunity to bring together the best of two worlds, foreign and domestic.
